CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE GUR TSABAR & PHONES FOR LIFE TO DISTRIBUTE 75 RECYCLED CELL PHONES TO SENIORS IN DISTRICT TWO
Seniors Can Use these Cell Phones to Dial 911 in Case of an Emergency
New York, NY - Gur Tsabar, a candidate for Manhattan's 2nd Council District, and Phones for Life will distribute recycled cell phones to 75 New York City seniors. These cell phones have been donated and then reprogrammed by Phones for life for one touch 9/11 emergency dialing to aid seniors in staying healthy and is used to combat elder abuse.
Gur Tsabar is a candidate dedicated to community service. His campaign is a vehicle for ideas and community action. To date, Gur's campaign has collected more than 500 books for school children, handed out tax assistance coupons for low income families, and orchestrated a rock concert to benefit tenants at risk of losing their affordable housing.
Gur Tsabar is a creative Democrat with progressive ideas.Ý Gur has worked in top positions at City Hall, where he currently serves as an advisor to City Council Speaker Gifford Miller. Prior to joining Miller's staff, Gur served as Chief of Staff to East Side Council Member Eva Moskowitz, the Council's Education Committee Chair.
Phones for Life endeavors to improve the quality of life among seniors and others with special needs by meeting their emergency medical access needs through wireless technology. Phones for Life is a national distribution center of wireless access to 9-1-1 and an informational resource center for its members throughout the country. It was founded by Dr. Dee Larcheveque, an emergency room physician and is managed by, Ray Doorman, president and general manager.
