Apply for a Free Emergency Cell Phone
Thank you for your interest in a free Phones for Life cell phone.
Phones for Life distributes free emergency cell phones to those in need. In order to qualify for a free phone, applicants must meet at least one of the criteria listed below:
- at least 60 years old
- a victim of domestic violence
- have a serious physical disability
Flexibility is made for seniors 55 and older who have special needs and/or disabilities. Severity of medical conditions, greatness of age and degree of disability are additional considerations used to prioritize eligible seniors. Phones for Life offers two different types of free emergency cell phones. Please select the phone that is best for you and fill out the corresponding application.
Cell Phones with Free Minutes
These free cell phones come loaded with free minutes for emergencies or urgencies. These senior-friendly cell phones come with your own telephone number and can make and receive calls. Phones for Life can program up to five personalized contacts (such as your doctor, children, etc.) for one-touch dialing. If you run out of minutes, you can add more minutes by calling our office at (888) 211-9722. You will never be solicited to add more minutes. If you choose not to add more minutes to your phone, you can always use it to dial 9-1-1.

These free cell phones are programmed to dial 9-1-1 with the touch of a button. Be sure to fill out the entire application and sign the disclaimer.
